Privacy policy
Angrezistan is an English-learning app published by Angrezistaan. This policy explains the information used to provide accounts, learning activities, mini-games and community features. For privacy questions, contact angrezistanofficial@gmail.com.
1. Information handled by the app
- Account and profile: email address, user ID, name, phone number, age, gender, student/professional details, English level and other profile information you enter. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
- Location you select: country, state, city/district, block, village, locality or school details, where provided. These support location-based rankings and learning groups; they are profile selections rather than a claim that the app tracks your live GPS location.
- Learning and rewards: answers, attempts, lesson/homework completion, game scores, speech-practice outcomes, study progress, streaks, achievements, coins, gems and reward transaction history.
- Photos and contributions: a profile image you choose to upload, and posts, comments, messages, poll responses or other contributions you submit through available features.
- Speaking practice: when you start a microphone-based activity, recorded audio is sent to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text for transcription and assessment. Recognition results and learning outcomes may be used to record progress. Audio is not treated as staying only on your device.
- Notifications and technical information: notification preferences, push tokens and related device/platform information needed for delivery, plus service, security and error logs. Service providers may process IP addresses and request metadata when your device connects.
- Support: messages and account-identifying details you send to the support inbox.
2. Why it is used and who receives it
We use information to create and protect your account, personalise learning, save progress, calculate rewards/rankings, provide social interactions, deliver requested notifications, investigate problems and respond to support or deletion requests.
Your display name, avatar, rank, selected location/group labels and content you share may be visible to other users through profiles, rankings and community features. Do not put private information in a public profile or post.
Infrastructure providers process information necessary for the features they supply:
- Google/Firebase: authentication, cloud database, file storage, backend functions and messaging. Google Cloud Speech-to-Text processes speaking-practice recordings.
- Expo and Android notification services: push notification delivery where enabled.
- Vercel: hosting and request/security logs for this website and the administration interface.
- External media providers: embedded videos or remotely hosted learning media may connect your device to their providers, including YouTube/Google where used.
We do not sell personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address abuse or protect users. Authorised administrators can access information needed to manage the app and respond to requests.
Provider information: Google privacy policy, Google Speech-to-Text data processing, Expo privacy policy, Vercel privacy policy. Providers can process data in countries outside your own.
3. Permissions and local storage
Microphone: used when you choose a speaking activity, with your device permission. Photos: the system photo picker lets you select an image for your profile; the release does not need access to your entire photo library. Notifications: you can allow or disable reminders through the app/device settings.
The app stores sign-in state, preferences and cached content locally. This public website does not include advertising pixels or a separate analytics SDK; the hosting provider still processes normal network and security logs.
4. Payments
Real-money gem purchases and donations are disabled in this release. Learning-earned coins/gems and their history remain app features. This release does not collect payment-card or UPI credentials through a purchase/donation flow.
5. Retention and account deletion
Account/profile information and learning records are retained while your account is active so the service can work across sessions. You can request deletion through the app or our account-deletion page without reinstalling the app.
After ownership is verified, the team will complete your deletion request within 30 days. Deletion covers the login account and associated profile/photo uploads, progress, rewards/balances, activity history, notification registrations and user-linked social records held by Angrezistan. Deletion is permanent; balances and progress cannot be restored.
We do not intentionally keep an active profile or learning history after completing account deletion. If specific data must be retained for a legal or security obligation, we will explain the category, reason and retention period in our response. Infrastructure providers may retain operational logs or backups under their own documented policies; deletion does not erase independent copies another user has already saved.
6. Your choices and safety
You can review/edit available profile fields, decline optional photo/microphone/notification permissions, turn off notifications, or request access, correction or deletion by emailing the team. We may ask you to verify ownership, but will never ask for your password or OTP by email. Connections to cloud services use HTTPS; no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Learners under 18
The app is intended for learners aged 13 and above, not children under 13. If local law requires a parent or guardian's permission, obtain it before using the service. Contact the team if an under-13 account or inappropriate disclosure is discovered so it can be reviewed and removed as appropriate.
